Hiking & Biking Trails
The historical tour of Fort Clark Springs does not end with our carefully preserved buildings and Museum. Not only will hikers and mountain bikers follow along the shaded banks of Las Moras Creek, a favored camp ground for the Spanish explorers, Comanche, Mescalero, Lipan, and other Indians, but also you will tread upon grounds once alive with activity during the Fort's days of military service. You will discover material remains, foundations of buildings, and ruins where Seminole-Negro Scouts to WWII's German prisoners of war.
Some of these trails are accessible by ATV and golf carts, though not all.
